TK -12th graders Ride FREE through June 2026

CityBus wants to remind youth age TK -12th grade that you ride FREE through June 2026 on CityBus, Sonoma County Transit, SMART and Petaluma Transit. This is a huge win for youth in Sonoma County and the goal of reducing carbon emissions.
 
Please remember the following details about the program:

1. See the updated schedule information on the agency website.  Remember to download apps to plan and track your bus real-time or you can text us to find out real time information about your bus’s arrival.
2. Remember, Santa Rosa is your City.  Our City works hard to improve transit services; when boarding buses be kind to towards your peers, the public, and bus operators.  Please also show respect for our transit vehicles and facilities.
3. High School age students must present valid school ID
4. CityBus will accept student IDs from schools outside of Santa Rosa.
5. If you are a student who is in middle school or older and you do not have a student ID, CityBus can issue a pass that will enable you to ride free (if you don’t have an old ID or have lost your ID from last year).  Please go to the Transit Mall kiosk (on Second St. in downtown Santa Rosa between B St. and Santa Rosa Ave.) Monday- Friday 8:30am-12:30pm or 1:00-4:30pm.  Bring some proof of age (example age documents) and you will be issued a UR Free youth pass.
